    Wow, love this brewing rig!

Do I need anything this elaborate to start homebrewing or is there more of a beginner setup that you would suggest?

Not at all Steve, that is an All Grain Brewing Stand which is typically used by more advanced home brewers. If you are just starting out, I would suggest you try an extract home brewing batch. There are equipment kits that will get you started for between $75 and $200. Follow this link to view some different home brewing equipment starter kits.

I use one of these MoreBeer home brewing stands and they are fantastic. I have not had any issues and have been brewing with it for a couple of years now. MoreBeer has great customer service too, I have been purchasing my homebrew supplies from them since I first started homebrewing.

It is nice to see these home brew rigs go on sale. They are not cheap but are reliable and about the best available if you do not want to go through the trouble of building one yourself. I have been using MoreBeer as my primary supply house for several years now and they always get my shipments right and are great to work with if you ever have any questions.
