    I am not exactly sure what a stainless steel wort chiller does, but it certainly looks awesome.

      Hi Steve, a stainless wort chiller is used for homebrewing. After you have boiled your wort you want to bring it down to a temperature that will allow you to ferment it as quickly as possible; usually about 68 F for an ale. A wort chiller helps you accomplish that. This stainless steel counter flow wort chiller pushes brings the hot wort down and internal tube while flowing cool water in the opposite direction which quickly cools the wort. I hope that helps.
